NETWORK DESIGN
BASELINE
The first step in an existing network is to document the current setup. This begins by "enumerating" all the devices on the network including; servers, workstations and attached portable storage devices, firewalls, routers, printers etc.
The second step is to determine all network access points such as the internet, remote control software, VPN's and modems.
SECURITY ASSESSMENT
This entails a full security auditing and if desired penetration testing.
IDENTIFY POTENTIAL PROBLEMS
Including Spyware, Virus, Trojans, Inadequate backups etc.
RECOMMEND SOLUTIONS
Technology based as well as procedural. Disk based backup with client restore ability.
